FAQ

What is a dead pixel?

A dead pixel is a screen pixel that no longer receives power and stays permanently black regardless of what the screen displays.

What is a stuck pixel?

A stuck pixel is a pixel that is frozen on one color — red, green, or blue — and does not change when the rest of the screen changes.

How many colors should I test?

Test all 9 colors for a thorough check. Black and white catch the most obvious faults; red, green, and blue reveal stuck sub-pixels; the mixed colors (cyan, magenta, yellow) catch single-channel faults that are easy to miss on primary colors.

Can this tool fix dead or stuck pixels?

No. This is a diagnostic tool only. Stuck pixels can sometimes be fixed with pixel-cycling software, but dead pixels are a hardware fault that cannot be corrected in software.

Does this tool work on any device?

Yes. It runs entirely in your browser with no installation required. It works on desktops, laptops, tablets, and phones.
