Filler Text Generator

Filler Text Generator produces placeholder headings and paragraphs from a curated pool of context-neutral English sentences. Unlike Lorem Ipsum, the output reads naturally and gives a realistic impression of how real content will feel in a layout.

How to use

Choose which content blocks to include using the checkboxes — an H1 heading, H2 section headings, and paragraphs. Set the count for H2 headings (1–6) and paragraphs (1–12), then adjust how many sentences appear in each paragraph using the slider. Select an output format — HTML, Markdown, or plain text — and click Generate.

Switching between formats after generating does not randomise the content again. The same headings and sentences are reformatted, so you can compare formats without losing a result you like.

Output formats

HTML wraps each block in the appropriate tag: <h1>, <h2>, or <p>. Paste this directly into a template or component.

Markdown uses # for H1 and ## for H2. Paragraphs appear as plain lines separated by blank lines — ready for any Markdown-aware editor or static site generator.

Plain text strips all markup and outputs the raw sentences. Useful for filling text fields, slide decks, or any context where tags are not wanted.

When to use filler text

Filler text is useful whenever real copy is not available yet. Common cases include wireframe reviews where the team needs to evaluate layout and hierarchy, component development where a sentence or heading is needed to check spacing and wrapping, and documentation examples where neutral sample content avoids distraction.

Because the generated sentences are general and professional in tone, they are less likely than Lorem Ipsum to raise questions from stakeholders during design reviews.
