WEBP to PDF is a browser-based tool that converts WEBP images into a PDF document. WEBP is the modern image format widely used on the web for its efficient compression. This tool lets you package WEBP images into a portable, universally readable PDF — entirely in your browser, with no uploads required.

Tool interface

The interface is focused and straightforward:

  • A drag-and-drop upload area for WEBP files
  • A file list with reorder controls for page sequencing
  • A page size selector: Fit to image, A4 Portrait, or Letter Portrait
  • A Convert & Download button to generate and save the PDF
  • A Clear option to reset

Tool description

WEBP to PDF works by decoding each WEBP image using the browser's Canvas API and re-encoding it as a high-quality JPEG for embedding in the PDF. This step is technically necessary because the PDF format does not have native support for WEBP images. The re-encoding uses a quality setting of 92%, which retains virtually all visible detail.

Page size options:

  • Fit to image: Each page is sized to match the WEBP image dimensions.
  • A4 Portrait: Images are scaled to fit within A4 margins, centred.
  • Letter Portrait: Images are scaled to fit within US Letter margins, centred.

Some practical use cases:

  • Archiving WEBP images saved from websites or web apps into a document
  • Converting WEBP exports from CMS platforms into a shareable PDF
  • Packaging web-sourced product images into a PDF catalogue
  • Turning WEBP screenshots into a structured, printable report

How to use

  1. Drop WEBP files onto the upload area, or click Browse to select them.
  2. Use the reorder arrows to arrange the page sequence.
  3. Choose a page size.
  4. Click Convert & Download to build and save the PDF.

Tip: Because WEBP files are rasterised through the Canvas API before embedding, very large or high-resolution WEBP files may take a moment to process.

FAQ

Only WEBP files are accepted?

Yes. This tool is designed specifically for WEBP images. For JPEG use JPG to PDF; for PNG use PNG to PDF. To mix formats in one PDF, use the Image to PDF tool.

Will the image quality be affected?

WEBP images are re-encoded as JPEG at 92% quality before being embedded in the PDF. This setting preserves practically all perceptible detail. For truly lossless output, use the PNG to PDF tool with lossless PNG source images.

Can I reorder pages?

Yes. Use the up/down arrows in the file list to set the page order before converting.

Are my files sent to a server?

No. All processing happens in your browser. WEBP files never leave your device.

What page size options are there?

Fit to image, A4 Portrait, and Letter Portrait. A4 and Letter centre the image on the page within standard margins.
